1984年山东大学理学学士,1990年北京理工大学工学硕士,2001年东京大学工学博士。曾任西安工业大学助教和讲师、日本信息系统设计技术担当、OPTWARE高级工程师、SONY公司高级技术分析师和杰出工程师。2012年获国家“千人计划”特聘专家回国,在北京理工大学任教授,合同期满后,于2018年转到福建师范大学任教授至今。现任国际光学工程学会会士(Fellow),中国光学学会和中国光学工程学会理事。发表学术论文200多篇、国际会议邀请报告50余次、合作著书1本、已公开专利20多项。曾获国家科技进步三等奖1项。主持过国家自然科学基金,863等项目。

研究方向为信息光子学,在光学信息处理、光信息存储、光学信息显示和光学测量等领域有着长期的理论研究和产品开发经验。
